GD Goenka University's video: National Unity Day

The NSS Unit and BSA, GD Goenka University, celebrated National Unity Day, honouring the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on 31 October 2022 with a walkathon organised within the sprawling campus premises. The stage was graced by dignitaries from the University which included the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad, Dean Student Welfare & International Relations, Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik, Deans and Heads of the various Schools and Departments. The event began with a brief welcome by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad who also administered the oath of unity to the gathered assembly of students, faculty and staff members. This was followed by melodious renditions of patriotic songs by the talented music club of the BSA. The cultural performance was followed by a rendition of the National Anthem by the assembly present, which set the stage and the spirit for the Walkathon dedicated to Unity. The Walkathon flagged by the Vice-Chancellor was indeed a walk of unity as happy faces marched together in unison with the spirit of brotherhood and patriotism in their hearts. The event was also widely publicized through the official social media accounts of the university as also through photo galleries erected at prominent places within the university campus. The success of this event was due to the efforts by student volunteers from the BSA and NSS under the leadership of Dean Student Welfare & International Relations, Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik.
