GD Goenka University's video: Udyami Bazaar 2022

The tenth edition of the Udyami Bazaar- The Genesis of Student Entrepreneurship, flagship event by the Centre of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, held on 15 October 2022 was a great success with a participation of more than 50 stalls. The campus transformed into a fairground where student entrepreneurs put up stalls and displayed their entrepreneurial skills. The chief guest for the event was Mr. Vidya Sagar Singh, Sr. General Manager & Head- Digital Services & Training, National Small Industries Corporation- NSIC. The event also saw successful alumni judges which included Neha Bhanot, Restaurateur; Avinash Saini, Entrepreneur; Martins Atandoh, Entrepreneur and Podcaster; Utkarsh Bharadwaj, Legal Practitioner; Dev Kartik Agarwal, Engineer; Amit Dagar, Web-Developer; Rahul Yadav, Architect. The event was inaugurated with a formal cutting of the ribbon by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad, the Chief Guest Mr. Vidya Sagar Singh and the Director, Centre of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik. The event started with an address by the Vice-Chancellor who spoke on the significance of promoting the cause of student entrepreneurship followed by a highly enthusiastic and informative talk by the Chief Guest who gave information on the various schemes run by the GOI available for budding entrepreneurs. A few cultural performances by both National & International students kick-started the event. The highlight of the event was the prizes for the Most Innovative Stall, Most Well Managed Stall and Most Popular Stall. The Most Innovative Stall winners were: • Winner- Akshat Singh, BBA, 1st Year & Raj Ranjan, BBA, 1st Year; Centre of Vocational Studies • First Runner up- Kamya Jain, UID United World Institute of Design • Second Runner Up- Amrit Mohanty, BSc., 2nd Year, School of Engineering & Sciences & Diyaa Solanki, BAJMC, 1st Year, School of Media & Entertainment The Most Well-Managed Stall winners were: • Winner- Sukhneet Kaur, BJMC, 2nd Year & Hardik Agarwal, BSc. Animation, 2nd Year; School of Media & Entertainment • First Runner up- Tanya Diga, BSc., BioTech, 1st Year & Anishka Goel, BSc., BioTech, 1st Year; School of Medical & Allied Sciences • Second Runner up- Ankita Singh, B.Ed, 1st Year & Sonali Singhal, B.Ed, 1st Year, School of Humanities Social Sciences & Education The Most Popular Stall winners were: • Winner- Anuj Kumar Gupta, MBA, 1st Year & Siddharth Kumar, MBA, 1st Year, School of Management • First Runner up- Muhammed Yaseen PM, MBA, 2nd Year & Sonali Sharma, MBA, 2nd Year; School of Management • Second Runner up- Shubham Shakti, BTech, CSE, 2nd Year & Vansh Verma, BCA 1st Year, School of Engineering & Sciences. All the winners received a trophy and a cash prize. The event also had winners for Mr. and Miss Ethnic Dress. The winners were: • Mr. Ethnic: Chaitanya Rajpal, BTech, School of Engineering & Sciences • Miss Ethnic: Sanjeevani Sihag, BPT, School of Medical & Allied Sciences The event saw enthusiastic participation by both students and staff who came together to make the event a success and ended with vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik, Director, Centre of Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
