Golden temple is one of the Peaceful places we visited so far. Golden temple is open 24 x 7. Videography is not much appreciated but you can click Photos. When you visit Amritsar you will find many people asking for a bus, a Private vehicle that takes you to the temple. Once you reach the temple you will find one big market where you find everything to buy. You can experience Hot Masala Milk in kullad which is very delicious in winter. Once you reach the temple you need to give your shoes and bags in entry then you can enter the temple. After entering the temple you can experience the most beautiful Golden Temple. Here everyone gives Seva and cleans the temple every time. I highly recommend going in the night for 2 reasons, 1 for the View and 2nd for the Darshan, In the night darshan is faster as compared to the morning. After Darshan you can experience the food at Bhandara, every day lots of people come and have food in Bhandara which is very delicious. Once your darshan is done you can experience the huge market where you can buy gifts for family friends. The Golden Temple is also known as the Harmandir Sahib is a gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is the preeminent spiritual site of Sikhism. The word Harmandir means Everyone's House. The man-made pool that represents Sikh culture was completed by the fourth Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das, in 1577. In 1604, Guru Arjan placed a copy of the Adi Granth in Harmandir Sahib. The Gurdwara was repeatedly rebuilt by the Sikhs after it became a target of persecution and was destroyed several times by the Mughal and invading Afghan armies. Maharaja Ranjit Singh, after founding the Sikh Empire, rebuilt it in marble and copper in 1809 and overlaid the sanctum with gold leaf in 1830. This has led to the name the Golden Temple.
