The Ghana Football Association has responded to the premier of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ investigation into corruption in Ghana football. In a statement released Thursday morning following Wednesday’s premiere of the shocking video, the GFA stated that although it did not commission Tiger Eye PI and Anas Aremeyaw Anas to undertake the undercover sting, it views the allegations circulating in the media seriously and wishes to take immediate steps to address them. The video captures dozens of football officials and hundreds of referees taking bribes to influence player selection and compromise matches among others. GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi, Executive Committee member Eddie Doku, Communications Director of the association Ibrahim Sannie Daara, were all secretly filmed accepting bribes to perform various requests.
