@Marimekko Spirit－Elämäntapa マリメッコの暮らしぶりー

マリメッコは、布地だけでなく生活用品全般へデザインの幅を広げ世界の人々に受け入れられてきました。その理由は、単に身に付けるファッションアイテムという枠を超えて、真に生活を豊かにするデザインの力を信じ追及した創設者アルミ・ラティアの志にあったことと思います。展覧会では、日本発の茶室文化とマリメッコのデザインを向かい合わせてみたいと思います。マリメッコデザインの持つ、「パターン」、「カラー」、「かたち」と日本の茶室空間を掛け合わせる試みです。今回の展覧会を通じて、マリメッコが目指した「理想の暮らし」を再確認し、未来に求められるデザインとは何かを考える機会になればと思います。
