「イームズハウス」は、チャールズ・イームズとレイ・イームズ夫妻の住宅兼スタジオで、1949年に完成し、今日でも世界の名建築の一つに数えられています。類い稀な才能に恵まれた二人のデザイナーが創り上げたデザインの軌跡を辿ることによって、そこにある現代性と未来につながる普遍的な価値を見つめます。また、イームズの思想を後世に伝えるため、この住宅の長期的な保存修復計画が策定され、2014年に第一ステージが完了しました。モダニズム建築保存の成功事例として紹介するとともに、その意義を伝えます。更に、イームズ夫妻が日本のデザイン界と交流し、相互に影響しあったエピソードや、イームズ・オフィスが制作した映像等も紹介します。
