マギーズセンターは、がんで亡くなったマギー・K・ジェンクスの願いからつくられた施設です。この施設は、訪れた人が安心して自らが抱える不安を話すうちに本来の自分の力を取り戻し、生きる喜びをみつけることができます。有名建築家が多く理念に賛同したマギーズの建築は、庭もコンセプトを担うとても重要な役割を持っています。本展はマギーの理念を通して建築空間と庭の関係性を考えます。空間が、がんに影響を受けた人の心にどのような効果をもたらすことが出来るのか、建築デザインの可能性を探ります。
