@今森光彦写真展 ―琵琶湖の便り、里山からの贈り物―

今森光彦さんは、故郷の琵琶湖周辺の里山を舞台に30年以上にわたり自然や人々の暮らしを撮り続ける写真家です。1992年に『マザー・ネイチャーズ』誌上で「里山物語」の連載を開始、「里山」という言葉が世間の注目を集めるきっかけとなりました。今森さんが考える「里山」とは、「人と生き物が共に暮らすところ」、「人と生き物が共存する、日本古来の農業環境のこと」です。どこか特定の場所として限定されるものではなく、人と生き物が共存するすべての空間のことを里山と呼んでいます。今森さんの、故郷の琵琶湖を取り囲む里山の風景は、きっと私たちの暮らしが自然といかに深く関わっているか、そして、私たち自身も里山の風景の中にあるということを教えてくれることと思います。
