Coming from a small town in Upstate New York, I have not taken the beautiful beaches of San Diego for granted since moving here three years ago. I know every local from San Diego will have their own favorite beach, and if you’re one of them (local), please comment your top 5 favorite beaches below! No doubt, one of the best things to do in San Diego is to hit the beach! Also, as I mentioned in the introduction of this video, these beaches are all south of Torrey Pines. I focused on the best beaches around the city of San Diego rather than the county of San Diego. I will most definitely make another video (if you’re interested) about the best beaches in North Country such as Encinitas, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Carlsbad, Oceanside, and others. Here are my Top 5 Best Beaches in San Diego (south of Torrey Pines): 5. Coronado Beach - Over the bridge from downtown San Diego you will land on Coronado island. A quiet, beautiful neighborhood that is home to many military training facilities. The most famous landmark on Coronado Beach is most definitely Hotel del Coronado. Built in 1888, Hotel del Coronado is one of the oldest beach resorts in the country, and attracts visitors from all over the world. Go have an (overpriced) drink at their beautiful poolside bar and go enjoy the beach for the day! 4. Ocean Beach - One of the most unique and interesting neighborhoods in all of San Diego is Ocean Beach. A wonderfully quirky beach town that features great bars and restaurants, as well as a fun Wednesday farmers market. Ocean Beach is one of the best beaches in San Diego for its personality alone. 3. La Jolla Shores - North of La Jolla village and south of Torrey Pines Golf Course you will find the stunning stretch of sand called La Jolla Shores. A great family friendly beach with an amazing ecosystem right off shore. You can take a kayak tour to the La Jolla cove and see seals and sea lions, or go snorkeling with leopard sharks. 2. Windansea Beach - One of the most beloved beach for locals here in San Diego, so I better not say too much. I know I will get some negative comments for even mentioning Windansea as one of the best beaches in San Diego, but there is plenty of remove for (respectful) people on this incredible shoreline. 1a. Pacific Beach - Pacific Beach is the party capital for young people in San Diego, and there are plenty of waterfront bars and restaurants here to accommodate them. The beach is also massive and beautiful, and there are so many fun activities to do on this bit of sand. For example, Crystal Pier is a great places to go for a walk and get a view of the entire beach. 1b. Mission Beach - Starting in Belmont Park with the rollercoaster and carnival games, stretching all the way down to South Mission and the volleyball courts, Mission Beach is like PB, but a little less chaotic (once you get passed Belmont Park). Bonus: Sail Bay & Mission Bay - Tucked away behind Mission Beach, Sail Bay and Mission Bay are the perfect alternative to a day at the beach. More laidback, calm water, and less people, usually… What is your choice for best beaches in San Diego, California? ———————— 🙋🏻‍♂️ COME SAY “HI” ON INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/traveldeeper/ 🌎 20% OFF MY TRAVEL COURSE WITH CODE: “YOUTUBE” https://traveldeeperbootcamp.com/ 👕 TRAVEL DEEPER MERCH https://traveldeeper.shop 📸 IMPROVE YOUR PHOTOS WITH MY LIGHTROOM PRESETS http://bit.ly/TD-Presets 📚 10 BOOKS THAT CHANGED MY LIFE http://bit.ly/10-Must-Read-Books 🎵 COPYRIGHT FREE MUSIC I USE FOR MY VIDEOS http://bit.ly/My-YouTube-Music ⚙️ MY CAMERA GEAR & TRAVEL ESSENTIALS https://tourist2townie.com/travel-acc... ———————— WHO AM I?
