Gateway Grinders's video: Jordan Binnington Dominates Boston Bruins SCF GAME 7

@Jordan Binnington Dominates Boston Bruins SCF GAME 7
There are a lot of doubters out there that think Jordan Binnington’s magical rookie season was a fluke. Here’s why Binnington will have another elite season and possibly be a Vezina contender. He Embraces the Spotlight Game 7. Stanley Cup Finals. In the biggest game of his career and the first period especially, Binnington put up the best goaltending performance I have ever seen. If Binnington doesn’t slam the door on the Bruins PP and overall dominance for much of the first period, the Blues go home empty handed. 32 saves in the game, and out of NHL’s list of top ten Binnington saves of the season, 3 came from game 7. He knows how to rebound and is extremely confident Binnington has an unbeleivable 14-2-0 record following a loss, with ~1.8 GAA and upward of a .944 save percentage. This guy can not be fazed, and is one of the most confident goalies I’ve seen. Despite a long journey in the minors where it looked like he would never get his shot, Binnington knew he had the stuff to succeed, and knows his place as one of the top goalies in the NHL. He only saved the Blues’ season and became the first rookie goalie in NHL history to win 16 games in the playoffs. Oh, and did I mention he won the Blues their first ever Stanley Cup? He has an elite defense and great backup behind him It’s almost unfair how good the Blues’ defense is going to be next year. Parayko is going to have an unreal season next year. In a contract year, Alex Pietrangelo is going to have everything to play for, and Jay Bouwmeester will continue being a lockdown defender. Vince Dunn is progressing nicely and will see an uptick in minutes with Edmundson gone. That Justin Faulk guy is pretty good too, and the fact that he’ll probably be on our third line speaks volume of how elite our defense is. Jake Allen is not an NHL regular starter, but he’s one of the best backups in the league, and will take a lot of pressure off Binnington. I expect Binnington to have another great season, and while there may be some regression, I still see him as a top 5 goaltender in the league.
