SUBMITTER: MrInflammable Sonic Spinball is a bad game. It doesn't matter what platform you're playing it on. This is not an arguable point, it is objectively a terrible game. Wonky physics, questionable hit detection, and even the sound effects are awful. The music is fine, but the biggest claim to fame this miserable title has is that some of the graphical assets for The Machine were recycled from Genocide City Zone, a level that was dropped from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 but has a placeholder in the beta. The Game Gear version of Spinball is a very pared down version of the Genesis console counterpart, which was already a rough game. The portable one though? Good god is this game stunted. Physics are more of a suggestion than anything, Sonic just flies around and does what he wants. The game will let you set an absurd amount of lives and continues presumably because the developers knew they weren't working on a winner. Even the boss of Toxic Caves throws Draco for a loop because it's not the scorpion robot. Sonic Spinball famously made Draco stand up and ragequit on the Genesis.
