It's the first of what wound up becoming a four-part game series focused around escaping from a locked room using only the tools and items provided to you in said room. The initial game was a smash hit, which prompted the release of three more games (plus two others, Tangerine and Pink, which were never realized). Crimson Room went on to see reissues on both the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. This run showcases all four games in the original quadrilogy in order of release, starting of course with Crimson Room. Many of these games featured copy protection to prevent people from stealing the SWF files and hosting them elsewhere, so they relied upon content hosted on a website that no longer exists. As such, these games were mostly unplayable for quite some time.
