SUBMITTER: Roastmaster As Draco reads this challenge he says "engage the clutch before the race begins", which isn't actually part of the challenge it's a reference to infamous world record cheater Todd Rogers who claimed that his mathematically impossible record time in this game came from his trick of "engaging the clutch before the race started" in order to start the race in second gear. Dragster is one of many Atari 2600 classics and its addictive qualities lie with its simplicity. You either accelerate or gear shift. The controls are so simple that pressing right on the joystick is a shortcut to resetting the game! There's a "feel" to this game you have to get used to.
