He was born in 1929 and died in 1961. The simplicity and spontaneity of his poetry allowed Khatir Afridi to make a name for himself as a prominent poet in pashto language at a young age. Even to this day Khatir Afridi enjoys immense popularity and lives on in the exuberant hearts of millions of young and old pukhtons alike. He left behind a son, who has compiled all of his father’s work into a volume. The book name is Da khatir kuliyat .
