Yoongi wanted to protect Jungkook, but he couldn't for he was not confident enough. The aftermath of the breakup lead Jungkook to climb up to a construction site's rooftop, staring at the city view below him. Jungkook then reminisced old memories with Yoongi, including moments when they were happy together. However, now that they've broken up, those days will never come again. He then remembers their fight, the root behind all this.He recalls Yoongi said: "Go away. Just let me be. I don't want to hurt you either. I don't want to be hurt. So please don't come any closer." Jungkook couldn't do anything but clutch onto his shirt tightly in fear of losing him. No matter how much Yoongi pushed him, he held on.Then, he walked on top of the railing, holding out both his hands for balance. "I nearly fell. That brief moment reminded me, I could easily die if I just took one more step. Would death bring the end of anything? No one would be sad if I wasn't around." Now that he's gone. At that moment, Yoongi was pouring gallons of fuel inside the room to his bedroom. He was going to burn himself alive in his house. He wanted to leave this world just as his mother did; he wanted to die in blazing flames. He set his bedsheets aflame, and the fire started. He didn't want to mean anything to anyone because he wanted to isolate himself. He wanted to leave this world without hurting anyone. If they cared, they would hurt. He didn't want that. He was coughing and couldn't breathe. His shirt caught on fire. Gathering up all the strength he had left in his body, he outstretched his hands to his nightstand where his phone lay. He grabbed it, and dialed Jungkook's number. Although they've said their goodbyes, he should at least know that Yoongi's going to say his true, final goodbye. Jungkook jolted awake from his daydream. His mind was too caught up in memories that he forgot the reality around him. He felt his phone buzzing in his pocket, and reached for it. He looked at the caller ID, and saw it was Yoongi. "Yoongi hyung? Hello? Are you there?” "Goodbye.” He heard how lifeless Yoongi's sounded. He staggered backwards, then started to run. He had to get to Yoongi. He ran with strength of every single fibre in his body, he had to get to him. He doesn't know what Yoongi meant by saying "goodbye", yet he knew exactly what it was. He got to Yoongi's house with a face full of tears. He saw that the side of the house, belonging to Yoongi's bedroom, was burnt. He had no time to unlock the door and run to his bedroom, so he went straight to Yoongi's bedroom window. He saw how severely burnt the room was. Maybe if Jungkook had cried enough tears, he'd have enough to put out the fire. But now, all that mattered to him was to get Yoongi's body out of the room of dancing red flames. Jungkook saw Yoongi's body laying lifeless on the mattress, and dragged him out. "Yoongi hyung, please stay with me. Please don't leave me. I've already lost you once, please don't let me lose you forever." Jungkook said. He looked at Yoongi's neck, and saw a slight pulse was still beating. However, something looked off as Yoongi's lips were too pale. Jungkook placed his hand in front of Yoongi's mouth and nose, but no sign of breathing was to be found. He panicked, then grabbed his phone to call for emergency. 5 minutes later when they arrived, Jungkook could tell it was too late. Even his pulse was gone. He passed away.
