THX 1138 is George Lucas' debut feature, released in 1971. It has some classic sci-fi elements, and is set in a world that must have influenced at least in part by Huxley. It features striking visuals, a haunting music, and a very compelling setting. Here I'm looking at the inclusion of the automatic confessional booth, which I think is both striking as an idea but also an effective way of furthering the audience's understanding of the story's world and how its society operates.
