Fritz Lang's first film with sound, M informs film and genre convention in many ways. It's a very considered film, and there's much to be taken away from it both as a technical product as well as meaningful artwork. Here I'm looking at a peculiar shot of a gentleman's trousers because of course I am. Why wouldn't I be doing that? The shot is interesting because I think it shows Lang's continued honing of his craft, and the willingness to do something boldly different.
