In this video we were driving next to Afghanistan. And it was amazing! Everything I knew about this country is either from the books of Khaled Hosseini or from the news (mainly bad news). But seeing it with my own eyes was breathtaking. First we left Samarkand for Dushanbe, then we headed to Khorog. A big thank you to everybody who let me awkwardly film them :) Filmed handheld with the Panasonic G80/G81/G85 and the iPhone 6. The long Road (TlR) is a journey from the heart of Europe all the way to the heart of Asia, through the middle east, following the old silk road, China, South-East Asia, India and Nepal. The whole journey will be overland (no planes, UFOs or portals) and put together into short videos on this channel :) Greetings, Georg
