I'm practicing welding by making a ½ roof rack from steel i have in my shed, I have an R-Tech 180 mig welder & a Makita LC1230 metal cut off mitre saw, The reason for this is due to the Covid lockdown I'm struggling to get small deliveries of long timbers, & also under normal circumstances occasionally i need to buy a long length or two that won't fit in my van, I'm only building a ½ rack because that's all i need & it's all the steel i have without buying more which i can't afford right now. I'm not a very good welder but this is good practice to help me get better at it.
