Giro Di Chatterbox's video: H lloch Caverns Spelunking - Switzerland

@Hölloch Caverns Spelunking - Switzerland
A team offsite took us to Hölloch Caverns in the canton of Schwyz. It was a beautiful, snowy day outside and quite cold. After getting suited up and getting some instruction about the cave, we headed in for our expedition. The first hour or so was walking on well-groomed pathways and learning about the ecosystem of the cave from our guide. After that, we went into expedition mode, which included a couple of hours of crawling through tight spaces, traversing water hazards and dangling precariously over heights. For team building aspects, this trip was a 10+. However, the technical aspects were semi-terrifying, and a lot of hard work physically. Hölloch is the biggest cave system in Switzerland and second largest in Europe, though it has not been fully explored yet. The name means Devil's Hole, though the original name was Swiss German for Slippery Hole. The local word for "slippery" was later misinterpreted by Francophones as the word for "devil". There are about 200km of explored caverns. The vertical gain inside the cave is 1500m.
