Pakistan ने Indian Border पर Deploy किया ₡hinese हथियार In a significant move aimed at bolstering its artillery capabilities, the Pakistan Army has recently rearmed the 28th and 32nd Artillery Regiments under the IV Corps in Lahore with the newly imported ₡hinese SH-15 Self-Propelled (SP) howitzers. These regiments, operating within the 2nd Artillery Division, play a crucial role in the defense of Punjab and the northern Rajasthan border sectors. The rearmament initiative is part of Pakistan’s broader strategy to modernize its military and enhance its firepower. The SH-15 is a state-of-the-art self-propelled howitzer developed by ₡hina and chosen by Pakistan for its artillery modernization program. In 2019, Pakistan placed an order for 236 of these advanced artillery pieces. The howitzer boasts impressive range, accuracy, and mobility, making it a valuable asset for strategic and tactical operations. The delivery of the SH-15 howitzers took place in two phases. The first lot, comprising 42 guns, was delivered in January 2022. The Pakistan Army proudly showcased these newly acquired assets during the March 22 Army Day Parade, highlighting the nation’s commitment to maintaining a modern and capable defense force. The second lot, consisting of 56 guns, was handed over in April 2023. This subsequent delivery played a pivotal role in the rearmament process, allowing the Pakistan Army to equip three artillery regiments, each receiving 18 guns. The deployment of these advanced howitzers further strengthens Pakistan’s artillery capabilities in key strategic locations. The rearming of the 28th and 32nd Artillery Regiments under the IV Corps is strategically significant as it reinforces Pakistan’s defense posture along the Punjab and northern Rajasthan border sectors. These regions hold critical importance in the country’s overall security framework, and the deployment of the SH-15 howitzers enhances the Army’s capacity to respond effectively to potential threats. Commemorating the birth anniversary of the nation’s founder, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) presented the upgrade of its aerial division with Turkish, including drones, over the weekend. “Pakistan Air Force on the Path to Modernization,” a two-and-a-half minute documentary, Sunday night showcased Ak?nc? and the Bayraktar TB2 uncrewed combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs), as well as JF-17 Block III and J-10C military jets, which were added to its inventory this year. Pakistan and ₡hina have jointly produced the JF fighter aircraft series. “The video highlights the fact that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah illuminated the oppressed Muslims of the subcontinent with a ray of hope and united them as one nation to achieve a separate and independent homeland for them. It is because of Quaid’s tireless efforts that we are breathing in a free state today,” the Pakistan Air Force said in a statement. Earlier this year, Pakistan’s secretary for defense production, Humayun Aziz, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that Türkiye and the South Asian nation “will consolidate their work and look ahead” to new fields, including uncrewed aerial vehicles and advanced fighters. He said that new frontiers include drones and advanced fighters “because already we are progressing a lot in the submarines and shipbuilding.” Türkiye and Pakistan are also working together on the military side on small arms and other projects, Aziz added. Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, was born on Dec. 25, 1876. The Pakistan Air Force said Jinnah “envisioned and founded a state based on the principles of democracy, freedom, equality, tolerance and social justice.” “The Quaid’s ideology, vision and guiding principles of faith, unity and discipline are a beacon for us in our journey to become a great nation,” it added. According to the Stratcom Bureau, a Pakistan-based defense-related social media platform, the Pakistan Air Force documentary showed off its new inductions, including Ak?nc? and Bayraktar TB2, besides a family of indigenous loitering munitions, new ultra-long beyond visual range air-to-air missiles and a whole range of new surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) and precision-guided munition (PGMs) and more.
