The COVID-19 pandemic is once again jeopardizing professional sports, as major leagues are already seeing a spike of infections among players due to the Omicron variant. The cases are quickly popping up across three of North America's biggest leagues. Dozens of NFL players have tested positive in the last two days, while NBA games are getting cancelled because of team outbreaks. And now, not even the NHL has been spared by the surge.
