Global News's video: Ferris wheel in Germany catches fire at music festival injuring at least 5

Two cable cars on a ferris wheel caught fire at a music festival near the east German city of Leipzig on Saturday evening. According to local police, four people suffered burn injuries, with one person injured by falling. "There was smoke. A mate said it was quite noticeably smelling of engine, and then everything was already on fire,” festival guest and eyewitness Angelo Leunich described. According to Leipzig police spokesperson Josephin Sader, first responders on the scene and other ferris wheel riders who came into contact with smoke were taken to hospital for further medical treatment. She added that the cause of the fire is still being investigated. The Highfield Festival takes place near the Stoermthaler Lake in the constituency of Grosspoesna, and is one of the biggest rock music festivals in the region, with up to 25,000 attendees. Festival organizers did not immediately issue a statement.
