Taking questions from media on Monday, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh was asked about his reaction to President Joe Biden withdrawing as the Democratic candidate in the 2024 U.S. election. Singh praised Biden for his track record standing up for workers' rights as president. He also called the "idea" of a Kamala Harris presidency "incredible" because as a father to two daughters, seeing a racialized female president in office would be inspirational, he added. Biden withdrew from the presidential race on July 21. He endorsed Harris, his vice-president, as the Democratic nominee to run against Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
