Pinetop Village + Ice Sculptures, Ice Skating, Tubing, Bumper Cars = A Gaylord Opryland Christmas! The Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, TN, always does Christmas to the max, and 2022 was no exception! We bought tickets in advance to see "ICE - Featuring Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer", which was held at the Gaylord Opryland Event Center. What we didn't realize though, was that the Opryland Resort & Convention Center had set up a whole Christmas-themed area near the Event Center called "Pinetop Village". And in "Pinetop Village", we found all sorts of fun Christmas activities to do and see. There was a 15-foot-tall tubing slide, a 9,000 sq. ft. ice skating rink, bumper cars, and a place where you could throw real snowballs at interactive targets. There was a stage that featured continuous live music, an ice skating show, gingerbread decorating, a scavenger hunt, and much more! And of course there were food and drinks available. Everything was an extra cost, except for taking in the live entertainment, and there were standing room only areas from which you could watch the ice skating show. The ice skating show did offer reserved seating areas for an extra cost. But, we were happily surprised that all that was going on in addition to "ICE", so after we saw Rudolph, we spent quite a while at "Pinetop Village"! Nashville, TN, is a great place to go for some very special Christmas experiences, and the Gaylord Opryland Resort certainly does its part to get you in the holiday spirit!
