This Creature Actually Existed... The Godzilla shark was a 300 million year old shark that existed in the the Paleozoic period that shared a significant resemblance to the fictional Godzilla and the Godzilla shark has been found in the Monzano Mountains east of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Once upon a time A paleontologist took a trip down a mountain and accidentally came across the tip of the Godzilla shark's nose, embedded in rock, Its size, anatomy, age, and state of preservation make it a shocking discovery, the dorsal fin spines on the Godzilla shark are huge relative to the rest of the body structure, When the Godzilla Shark that was found it had been exposed to fine-grained limestone on its right side. Due to its size, the shark was removed in three sections to be preserved and re-assembled in the paleontology laboratory at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. This monster had teeth on its lips as well making this shark even more scary. Think about that for a second that sounds crazy and painful if you're the victim. Even though the Godzilla shark is a somewhat recent discovery it has been estimated that the Godzilla shark survived at least 130 million years before going extinct.
