When watching the pros swing, we amateurs can see the shoulder turns they perform (especially when their swing is shown in slow motion). However, seeing and doing are two very different animals.(That's just a phrase. I have no idea where it originated). The "feeling" part is the real challenge. In this video, GolfGym creator, Ken Pierce demonstrates an exercise/movement pattern to help you Maximize Your Shoulder Turn. https://GolfGym.com/product/PowerBandz/ This drill uses the GolfGym PowerBandz heavy resistance. You can use the medium resistance if it works better. This video will help to identify the manner in which you can feel a complete shoulder turn. Affix the PowerBandz at a height about 4-6" above your head. That way you will have a good angle in which do perform the drill. With one grip in each hand, push your right hand out with your right arm fully extended. With that arm fully extended, start to rotate around to your left. Rotate around until your left tricep touches the right side band. Then push out with your left hand fully extending your left arm. Then continue to rotate to the right until your left tricep touches the right side band. Perform these drills 6-10 times on each side. You will definitely FEEL the rotation. Caution: you will be sore after your first time doing this drill. Take 2-3 days to recover then get at the drill again. You will be amazed at how much farther you will rotate after just a few sessions. Good Luck with this one.
