So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality. What we really want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect, so we never dare to ask the universe for it. I’m saying that you can ask the universe for it. Life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you and as far as I can tell it’s just about letting the universe know what you want and working toward it, while letting go of how it comes to pass.1 Why not take a chance on faith?” In my life I’ve always had this feeling inside that I wanted to do amazing things, push the boundaries. I’ve always been itching to see what’s possible and you probably have the exact same feeling – I think most entrepreneurs do, which is what leads us to make the decision to dare to follow our hearts and turn our ideas into realities. I put it in my wallet and kept it there, and in late 1995, I found out I was going to make $10 million for the movie Dumb and Dumber. OPRAH: Visualisation works if you work hard. JIM CARREY: Yeah, you can't just visualise and then go eat a sandwich. OPRAH:If you can see it and believe it, it's a lot easier to achieve. Jim's story reminds me of that. It doesn't mean that every person who writes a cheque is going to make that money. Often, people live in a space of wanting it, instead of writing it, visualising it and working towards it. It's through the time and effort that you put into a thing that energy comes out.
