For one evening only we are bringing together nine outstanding writers from Writing, Acting and Publishing Project for Youngsters’ (WAPPY)’s early beginnings, whose poetry, stories, speeches, lyrics, artwork and musical performances have helped to lay the foundations for future generations of young people. All were between the ages of 6 to 14 years when they signed up to WAPPY from 2008 to 2011, and come from a diversity of cultural, ethnic, faith, class, and family backgrounds, with one common feature that unites them all. They have the ability to socially comment on the world and force the world to listen through their own bold literature, published and unpublished. For them the most powerful tool is their written word which has the power to change the world. Come and join us and be inspired too!
