Graybravo's video: Les Pays de B ziers - Part 2 of 3

@Les Pays de Béziers - Part 2 of 3
The year is 2001… Here and there we meet up and dine with friends around the Languedoc. In the centre of Béziers, we walk the Allées Paul-Riquet, named after the creator of the Canal du Midi and the Plateau des Poètes, a park which takes its name from the busts of poets in the park; these dominated by Injalbert's Fountain of Titan. We go to Aigues-Mortes, a fortified community east of Montpellier where crusaders left for Jerusalem in the 12th Century In Nîmes, once important outpost of the Roman Empire, we see the Arena of Nîmes, a double-tiered circa-70 A.D. amphitheater still in use for concerts and bullfights; the Maison Carrée temple; the 2,000 year old tri-level aqueduct, the Pont du Gard. Montpellier is the capital of the Languedoc-Roussillon region, it's medieval centre and narrow alleyways, it's 13th-century Université de Montpellier contrast remarkably with the Antigone, a large splendidly modern area of magnificent neo-classical structures and buildings
