GregsynthWizard's video: 2 Your Song Elton John - BBC Radio With Terry Wogan: 1977

@2. Your Song (Elton John - BBC Radio With Terry Wogan: 1977)
Sometime in 1977, Elton John went onto BBC Radio with Terry Wogan for an interview and did a few performances while on air. The general atmosphere during the broadcast is spirited and light-hearted with amusing banter being thrown in throughout. Elton starts off by playing bits of “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands” and has fun with the song in the form of changing his musical style and vocal delivery. After being unable to come up with a random song on-the-fly to play, Elton plays “Your Song” and it’s a pretty solid rendition with some nice vocal flourishes in the final chorus. “I Think I’m Going To Kill Myself” is a fun listen with Elton name-dropping Terry Wogan in the second verse. While the performance isn’t bad by any means, the versions from Rainbow 1977 and the 1978-1979 shows surpass it as Elton’s intonation is stronger on those performances as well as having better vocal control in general (especially on the 1979 renditions). ENJOY!!!
