SPIRITUAL AWAKENING 2020, 2021, 2022 AND SO ON tree, spiritual awakening, spiritual nature, blue sky there was some kind of enthusiasm going on for spiritual awakening in 2012 back when I first wrote this blog post. It was definitely fun stuff. People were excited about the idea of peace, love, and harmony entering all of humanity in one fell swoop. People did what they usually do, however, which was to look for some external event to make life all better. Yes, in 2012, many spiritual quests, techniques, and journeys were the latest sugar pill. Take two, and you'll feel better in the morning. I don't know how anyone can really believe this stuff except that the unconscious ego is always looking outside of itself for fulfillment. So I guess this was inevitable, and it'll probably happen many times again in the future. As 2012 ended and prophecies, portals opening, vortices closing, alien predictions, and every other kind of hoo-hah got to a fever pitch, life went on. Going Within for a Timeless Event Here's the big truth about the awakened space: it is timeless. The awakened presence within you is always here in the moment. There's no lead time to get to it. You can't lose it. You can't get disconnected from it. Now this may sound counter to what I blog about, but what this blog is actually discussing is dissolving all attachments and illusions that hide awakened awareness. So the spiritual person on this path isn't trying to get to awareness. They're learning to let go of their ego self that is distracted by fantasies that cover up awareness. A spiritual awakening is the sustained movement of dissolving the ego. The ego is a lens that skews reality, and awakened energy dissolves that lens to allow someone to view life from pure awareness--no filters, no distortions. Awakening does so independently of the person, and it does so intelligently. In general, a spiritual awakening as I describe it is rare, but so too is a serious drive to become conscious.
