In a recent trial, we ran into an issue where an HDMI cable we have reliably used in the past just didn't work out for us. It turns out that the problem was our Apple brand USB C adapter didn't work with our Apple Ipad Pro 2018. And to confuse things even further, two different generic usb C to HDMI adapters worked flawlessly.
