Based on a beer first brewed by Arthur Guinness II in 1821, this is the beer that first made Guinness famous. It is still brewed, as it first was, at our St. James’s Gate brewery in the center of Dublin, where this video was filmed. Generally considered the world’s definitive Irish Dry Stout, it’s a noticeably different experience from our other two classic stouts, Guinness Draught and Foreign Extra Stout. Guinness Extra Stout is characterized by aromas of caramel, coffee and subtle fruit. It features abundant bittersweet flavor notes and finishes smooth and dry.
