All bow in humility before Him. ਜਿਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇਠ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । * ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣ ਦਾਵਣਿ ਲਗਿਆ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਦੇਈ ਬੰਨਿ ॥ har sajan dhaavan lagiaa kisai na dheiee ba(n)n || One who has grasped the hem of the robe of the Lord, the True Friend-no one can keep him in bondage. ਜੇ ਹਰੀ ਸੱਜਣ ਦੇ ਲੜ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ (ਜਮ ਆਦਿਕ) ਨੂੰ ਆਗਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਕਿ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਾ ਲਏ (ਭਾਵ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਲੜ ਲੱਗਿਆਂ ਜਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ) । * ਮਾਣਕ ਮੋਤੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਉਨ ਲਗੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਨਿ ॥ maanak motee naam prabh un lagai naahee sa(n)n || God's Name is the Jewel, the Pearl. It cannot be stolen or taken away. (ਲੋਕ ਹੀਰੇ ਮੋਤੀ ਲਾਲ ਆਦਿਕ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦੌੜ-ਭੱਜ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਚੋਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਭੀ ਤੌਖ਼ਲਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀਰੇ ਮੋਤੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਐਸਾ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਧਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਚੁਰਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ । * ਰੰਗ ਸਭੇ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੈ ਜੇਤੇ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੰਨਿ ॥ ra(n)g sabhe naarainai jete man bhaava(n)n || In the Lord are all pleasures which please the mind. ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਭੀ ਕੌਤਕ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, (ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ । * ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਲੋੜੇ ਸੋ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਜੀਅ ਕਰੰਨਿ ॥ jo har loRe so kare soiee jeea kara(n)n || As the Lord wishes, so He acts, and so His creatures act. (ਇਹ ਭੀ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ । * ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਈ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਧੰਨਿ ॥ jo prabh keete aapane seiee kahe'eeh dha(n)n || They alone are called blessed, whom God has made His Own. ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇ ਕੇ) ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼ੇ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ । * ਆਪਣ ਲੀਆ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਕਿਉ ਰੋਵੰਨਿ ॥ aapan leeaa je milai vichhuR kiau rova(n)n || If people could meet the Lord by their own efforts, why would they be crying out in the pain of separation? (ਪਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ) ਜੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੋਣ ? * ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ਪਰਾਪਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣੰਨਿ ॥ saadhoo sa(n)g paraapate naanak ra(n)g maana(n)n || Meeting Him in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, O Nanak, celestial bliss is enjoyed. ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ! (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੇ) ਆਨੰਦ (ਉਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ) ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ । * ਹਰਿ ਜੇਠੁ ਰੰਗੀਲਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਧਣੀ ਜਿਸ ਕੈ ਭਾਗੁ ਮਥੰਨਿ ॥੪॥ har jeTh ra(n)geelaa tis dhanee jis kai bhaag matha(n)n ||4|| In the month of Jayt'h, the playful Husband Lord meets her, upon whose forehead such good destiny is recorded. ||4|| ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਠ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਾਲਕ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।
