What have you tried? ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ) ਤੰੂ ਹੋਰ ਕੀਹ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਸੋਚਦਾਂ ਹੈਂ? ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕੀਹ ਉਪਾਵ ਚਿਤਵਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਹੀਲੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ? * ਤਾ ਕਉ ਕਹਹੁ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੀ ਜਿਹ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਸਹਾਏ ॥੧॥ taa kau kahahu paravaeh kaahoo kee jeh gopaal sahaae ||1|| Tell me - the Lord of the Universe - who controls Him? ||1|| (ਵੇਖ,) ਜਿਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ, ਦੱਸ, ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ? ।੧। * ਬਰਸੈ ਮੇਘੁ ਸਖੀ ਘਰਿ ਪਾਹੁਨ ਆਏ ॥ barasai megh sakhee ghar paahun aae || The rain showers down from the clouds, O companion. The Guest has come into my home. ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-) ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਜੀ ਟਿਕੇ ਹਨ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਤਪਸ਼ ਮਿੱਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਇਉਂ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਾ) ਬੱਦਲ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । * ਮੋਹਿ ਦੀਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ moh dheen kirapaa nidh Thaakur nav nidh naam samaae ||1|| rahaau || I am meek; my Lord and Master is the Ocean of Mercy. I am absorbed in the nine treasures of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰੀ ਰੱਖ (ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਨੌ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। * ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਭੋਜਨ ਬਹੁ ਕੀਏ ਬਹੁ ਬਿੰਜਨ ਮਿਸਟਾਏ ॥ anik prakaar bhojan bahu ke'ee bahu bi(n)jan misaTaae || I have prepared all sorts of foods in various ways, and all sorts of sweet deserts. ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਸੁਆਦਲੇ ਖਾਣੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਬੜੀ ਸੁੱਚ ਨਾਲ ਰਸੋਈ ਸੁਥਰੀ ਬਣਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, * ਕਰੀ ਪਾਕਸਾਲ ਸੋਚ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਾ ਹੁਣਿ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਭੋਗੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਏ ॥੨॥ karee paakasaal soch pavitraa hun laavahu bhog har raae ||2|| I have made my kitchen pure and sacred. Now, O my Sovereign Lord King, please sample my food. ||2|| ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੀ ਰਸੋਈ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ, ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਹੁਣ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ।੨। * ਦੁਸਟ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ਸਾਜਨ ਰਹਸੇ ਇਹਿ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਘਰ ਅਪਨਾਏ ॥ dhusaT bidhaare saajan rahase ieh ma(n)dhir ghar apanaae || The villains have been destroyed, and my friends are delighted. This is Your Own Mansion and Temple, O Lord. ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਇਹਨਾਂ (ਸਰੀਰ) ਘਰਾਂ-ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ) ਅਪਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਅਤੇ ਦੈਵੀ ਗੁਣ) ਸੱਜਣ ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । * ਜਉ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਲਾਲੁ ਰੰਗੀਓ ਆਇਆ ਤਉ ਮੈ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥ jau gireh laal ra(n)geeo aaiaa tau mai sabh sukh paae ||3|| When my Playful Beloved came into my household, then I found total peace. ||3|| ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲਾਲ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ ।੩। * ਸੰਤ ਸਭਾ ਓਟ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਲਿਖਾਏ ॥ sa(n)t sabhaa oT gur poore dhur masatak lekh likhaae || In the Society of the Saints, I have the Support and Protection of the Perfect Guru; this is the pre-ordained destiny inscribed upon my forehead. ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, * ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੰਤੁ ਰੰਗੀਲਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਏ ॥੪॥੧॥ jan naanak ka(n)t ra(n)geelaa paiaa fir dhookh na laagai aae ||4||1|| Servant Nanak has found his Playful Husband Lord.
