or is a 300-year-old fort near Ganjam town in Ganjam district, Odisha. It is a pentagonal star-shaped fort that was initially built by the subedars of Bengal Nawab and taken over by the French and the British East India Company later. It is one of the frigate forts that have architectural heritage from Mughal, Gothic, and British engineering. It can be easily accessible by road from National Highway between Bhubaneswar and Brahmapur near Ganjam Town, Jayshree Chemicals, or better known as Potagarh town too. The nearby Rushikulya river-sea mouth provides scenic views and the place is very clean and not inhabited due to a rumour that the place is haunted, however, the only fact is in 1920 the fort was abandoned due to Spanish Flu Pandemic and the dead bodies were buried inside the fort. This was the last time Ganjam's district headquarters or collectorate ran from this place later shifting to Berhampur and Chatrapur respectively. In this video, I have captured some of the best drone shots possible to view for the importance and scenic views that still attracts a lot of people to visit this ruined fort throughout the year.
