Gurudatta Panda's video: SHERAGADA The History of a Fighter Kingdom of Odisha Seragada Ganjam

and also known as Chandravilas Palace is a well-known place in the Ganjam District of Odisha. But do you know, the king of this kingdom was the first martyr in India's freedom struggle, and he fought like the bravest man on earth when British Army under East India company tried to capture him and wanted him to join the British side. He brutally fought many wars against the British and no Indian soldiers in the British Army could face him. A British Troop from Madras Presidency sent to capture him, but he killed 20 of the Officers in a final battle against them. In this battle a cannon fire took away his life, but even after that Britishers paid him respect like a brave man. They gave their kingdom much independence to collect tax and coat of arms, insignia of the British empire, and a lot more. The fighting skills of King Adait Singh, The Raja Saheb of Sheragada was so revered that, Ganjam's collector in those days wanted to join him in British ranks then killing him in War. But the king was a brave man and a patriotic man like his ancestors who fought and got the title of Sher or Tigers from the Gajapati of Puri.
