After the introduction, Sriram introduces Galvanize and then starts the class with the basic issues that usually come while solving a problem in GRE. These are the frequent issues that students face during the exam. He shares a problem and gives the best way to solve it. He first tries the hard route that is usually taken by the students. Afterward he gives an alternate approach of exploiting the symmetry in the problem and solve the problem in an easier and faster way. He then explains an abstract way of looking at problem solving. He tells that there are five steps in an abstract way of problem solving: 1- Define the problem 2- Think about the problem 3- Plan a solution 4- Execute the solution 5- Look back at step-1 Sriram explains every step one by one and also tells all the major points to consider during every step separately. 01:48 What is the Problem? 03:15 Basic question on quantitative analysis 04:10 Common approach to problem solving 08:20 Alternate approach to problem solving 12:30 How to use the alternate approach in a different problem? 13:24 An abstract way of looking at problem solving 15:10 5 Steps to an abstract way of looking at problem solving About GyanDhan At GyanDhan, our vision is to equalize and expand access to higher education.
