It is highly recommended that you check out the Aperture, Shutter, ISO and Manual mode tutorial before. The White Balance setting you choose will change the colour balance in your pictures. It can either make them warmer or cooler depending on the setting selected. The colour of the light will affect the colours in your photographs which is not noticeable by the naked eye. Our minds adapt very quickly to perceive the colour of the light as neutral, even when it's not. The camera however records each color accurately as it is. This the reason why pictures taken under different lighting conditions have a consistent hue over them. As an example the picture taken under candle light will have a orange cast over it whereas at dusk or dawn it is bluish. Cameras have 'White Balance' controls to correct these colour shifts. There is a setting for Auto White Balance in the cameras where the White Balance is corrected automatically however it is always to better to take things in control for that perfect photograph. You may find a number of presets on the camera for White Balance for example Clouds, Sunlight, Incandescent Light etc. You may use these as well.The camera relies on the photographer to choose the right setting for the scene.
