Because you can just lower it. For some of us, that’s half the fun! you can shape your crown the way YOU like, men did it all the time..guys would “break down” their hat their own way,by hand, themselves.. old school cats still come in and do it. So,e hats I leave totally stock,and change nothing, While other hats require some lowering in the crown..or this.. or that. Every hat is different. Break your own hat down!
