HEHEHE I AM A SUPAHSTAR SAGA's video: Realtuned - Vs Susie 15-TET microtonal cover

Happy (late) birthday to Deltarune Chapter 1! I went in a different direction with this cover, and I think it turned out pretty well. The original track is short and simple, but still quite harmonically interesting. That gave me a lot of room to expand it and add new elements. 15-TET is very different from what I'm used to. The fifths are very sharp (720 cents), but the thirds are fairly good (320 and 400 cents). Those sharp intervals have an edge that I think works really well for this piece. It's also a good contrast to the flatness of 19-TET. 15 factors into 3 and 5, so there are two symmetries available. The 5-symmetry gives you the equipentatonic scale, which is a very nice sound. You also get the ten-tone Blackwood scale (2121212121), which has five major chords and five minor chords. I didn't use these scales much structurally, but they're scattered around the new melodic material. The 3-symmetry let me do a major third cycle in the later part of the piece. The chords are Am - C7 - Fm - Ab7/G - C - E7, similar to the Coltrane changes with minor chords in place of maj7 chords. I had some fun writing a quick solo over the progression. These symmetries are another contrast with 19-TET, which has no symmetries. I enjoyed working in 15, so I may look into other similar tunings in the future.
