HIITSCHOOL's video: DIY At Home Workout Weight Options - HIIT School

@DIY At Home Workout Weight Options - HIIT School
HITI School is happy to provide various and creative options to adding resistance to your at home workouts if traditional dumbbells, kettlebells, etc. are not an option. Things you want to think about when creating DIY weights are the following: Stable/Firmness - How sturdy is the contents of your DIY weight? A backpack of solid books is far different to move around than say a bag of dog food. We recommend trying to make your DIY as sturdy as possible. Unilateral vs. Bilateral - Are you able to have two separate and equal sides? A single carry on suitcase works great but if you are able to have two hand bags full of the same contents, that will allow for more variety and fluid movements in your exercises. Durability - A case of water from the store is a great option to add heavyweight to a workout but the plastic wrap around the case of water most likely wouldn't last through a single workout. Try throwing the case as a whole into a handbag to make it last much longer. Easy to use - How easy is it to hold through various exercises and movements? Will the grip be weird or uncomfortable if the weight is being held in a certain position? Will the contents spill out of you hold it a certain way? Play around with what you come up with and hold it in various ways to see if you may have any issues. There are plenty of options and solutions to adding weight for your at home workout. There may even be a benefit to have various options at your disposal to create a DIY at home weight rack full of different sized weights. Get creative and find what works best!
