'Cheung Sha Wan Abattoir (slaughterhouse) was established in 1969 and closed in 1999. It was most famous for the 'Spirit Buffalo' incident in 1983 when a water buffalo, which was about to get slaughtered, seemed to cry and beg for its life to the workers.
