Filmed in May 2016. When in Iceland, we felt obligated to visit this classic photography spot. The American DC-3 plane crashlanded in southern Iceland in 1973 due to apparent mechanical failure. All the pilots survived. There was some controversy about this site last year: The landowners closed road access due to what they say as excessive vandalism by tourists and photographers alike.
