(c)1996 National Football League; NBC Sports - Comcast Found this tape in storage a few months ago, and decided to post this and a few more today since this marks 25 years exactly of Super Bowl XXX between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys at Sun Devil Stadium, which the Cowboys won 27-17 (on a side note, this was the first Super Bowl I distinctly remember watching. My family was pulling for the Steelers, but most of the extended family on both sides {including some that were visiting the house for the game} are Cowboys fans. I was a little over a month shy of my 9th birthday and to this day the mention of Neil O'Donnell leaves a bad taste in my mouth) Okay, rant over. This clip features the national anthem as sung by former Miss America Vanessa Williams (with sign language by Mary Kim Titla). Then, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy; the traditional fighter jet flyover at the end was done in the missing man formation (appropriately, the lead pilot was Air Force Captain {now Lieutenant General} Richard W. Scobee, whose father Dick was the commander of the doomed space shuttle)
