HSIOM's video: China: New Generation Worship-Blended 2

@China: New Generation Worship-Blended 2
This song was composed by the young woman who is singing. It was created during a time of personal devotion as she was reflecting on John 3:16. We were only able to capture, in-country, her voice. So the accompaniment was created by one of our Heart Sounds team members. The movement between the major tonic chord and its relative minor is a common Chinese chordal progression. That, coupled with the use of Chinese drums and flute sounds keeps the song true to its roots while at the same time fusing it with a broader world sound gives it great appeal to the urban youth who have been raised with western musical forms as much as they have their own Chinese flavors. Simplicity of melodic form is often fourd in worship creation. Worship thrives with music that is easily grasped by musically untrained participants. Simplicity often moves the heart deeply,and this song is an example. It has great appeal, yet musically is easily "caught".
