We seem to be in a bit of a 3DS trend at the moment! These games had an absolutely incredible soundtrack, but this is hands down the best song in there. I think I even stalled the battle just to hear this theme longer! Those choir parts really took it to a whole new level. It seemed pretty obvious to cover this song with a big drop C riff, something which is completely new to us! We tried to make this our heaviest cover yet, and I feel like it worked well. The drums are a blend of electric and acoustic to give it a sort of industrial rock feel. The intro and middle sections, on the other hand, are inspired by an album we both love called Storm Corrosion, which is a sort of dark orchestral folky deal. We were trying for something quite atmospheric and eerie. Also the outro is quite heavy :p We feel like this might be our best cover yet, we're really happy with how the arrangement worked out, and Anne-Sophie wrote a really awesome solo for it! We had some help for mixing, especially drums wise from Swiggles1987 and 94Stones so thanks a bunch to them! Hopefully the drums are finally starting to sound punchy enough in our mixes!
