If anything this contest has just given us even more respect for your once a week cover schedule! But yeah, we made it, after 5 days of non-stop arranging, practising, recording, mixing and editing! For our entry in the contest, we decided to kill two birds with one stone and cover all the little tracks we've been meaning to do but could never justify a full cover of. We did decide to end on a big nostalgic number with Rainbow Road though. Still, the final tracklist reflects our favourite soundtracks (yay Mother 3 :D) pretty well, and we hope you'll enjoy the medley! We also tried to go all out in showing our style, which is more of a combination of softer stuff and some electronica than anything else. The weird Whammy pedal solo bits on the Attic's a Dungeon are inspired by Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead's weirder stuff. He's awesome. It's the first time I played glockenspiel on a recording (I've only had it for a few weeks) so my playing on that is more than a little shaky. I'd love some tips or for someone knowledgeable to tell me if I'm doing anything horribly wrong with it! As hectic and impossible-sounding this project was, we had a lot of fun doing it (except drum velocity editing, that fucking sucks) and as despite having to really force the arrangements out of my brain, I think it came out pretty well on the whole, but I'll leave that decision to you. :) Thanks for watching if you do! Special awesome thanks to 94Stones and Swiggles1987 for their advice, help and generally being awesome :) Things we used: Bass: Fender Standard Jazz MIM Guitar: Fender Telecaster FMT HH Acoustic Guitar: Takamine EG320SC Keyboard: Yamaha MM6 Glockenspiel: Sonor NG 30 Soprano Tambourine: Millenium Egg Shaker: LP Music Bass Amp: Marshall MB4410 Guitar Amp: Marshall MG100 Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 Microphone: Audiotechnica AT2020 Camera: Canon EOS M Guitar Pedals: ProCo RAT2, Zvex Fuzz Factory, Source Audio Soundblox Multiwave Distortion, Electro-Harmonix Small Stone Phaser, Digitech Whammy WH-4, TC Electronic Hall of Fame Reverb Bass Pedals: Electro-Harmonix Octave Multiplexer Vast majority of synth sounds from the Yamaha MM6.
