We based our cover on the Electronica in Velvet Room bonus track quite a bit, but we tried to add a more "rock" twist to it. It still has fun electric percussion though! Anyway, this is definitely the heaviest use of synth in a cover we've done so far. Writing the bass and rhythm guitar parts was the most fun, coming up with danceable rhythms which also worked in a more rock style. This is an amazing theme, too. We decided to cover it after watching the anime of Persona 4 (which is a damn good adaptation). The melody is catchy and beautiful, almost ethereal. Mellotron synthesised with the Redtron SE VST. Drums programmed with shortcircuit. Recorded and mixed in Cubase and video edited with Sony Vegas.
